The Bureau of Animal Control is a municipal agency operating within the Trenton Division of Health. It provides the community with services that enhance the humane care of animals in the City of Trenton.
The mission of the Bureau is to educate and promote a better quality of care for all animals in Trenton, being mindful of the need to protect the citizens of the city in accordance to the state and local laws and ordinances. (This policy is in keeping with the guidelines established by the NJ Statutes regarding domestic and wildlife animals in the control of RABIES.)
We strive to perform the duties and responsibilities entrusted to us with respect and sensitivity to the needs of the entire community.
